Hello again,

At least we’ve seen the reappearance of the sun today (Sunday) after a rather gloomy week.

More excellent news for our younger members! Three of our U25s have been selected to play in the Men’s U25 International Trial Team – Louie Hodges, Dylan Williamson and Finlay Williamson to be played on Sunday, 1st December at Northampton and District IBC. Incidentally, that is the day that the Potters Shop is coming to our club, 11.00a.m. until 3.00p.m.

And the good news doesn’t stop there! On Saturday morning, there was one rink at home and one away at Solihull playing in the U30s National trips. We were up against a really strong team who usually do really well in the nationals but this time our team came out on top! Well done to everyone!

In the afternoon, the friendly between MidGlos and Gloucester IBC was won convincingly by MidGlos. Well done to the team!

This morning Top Club was being played against Bromsgrove IBC. It was a game of two halves. We started off really well but, during the second half, they started creeping back to eventually win the game which almost ended up a tie.

Well played everyone. Just a shame that it didn’t finish as it started. As usual, there were some excellent woods played.

Next Saturday, 16th both the Yetton and the Denny are being played against Oxford City and County both with two rinks at home and two away and, on Sunday, 17th the Egham is being played against Avon Vale – two rinks at home and two away. 🤞for a good result for all three games!

In the evening, on 16th, is the next round of our quiz which is being hosted by Jill and Graham Whiting. Maybe see you there.

Take care,

Linda.
