Newsletter Issue 154

Hello everyone,

Somewhat later than usual but we’ve been in Pembrokeshire for a long week-end. We had a lovely time with our younger daughter and family. I won’t bore you with the deflating details but our departure was delayed by an hour or so.

However, our wonderful son-in-law saved the day with his quick thinking and strong muscle power (it was probably the thought of having to put up with us for another day or so that inspired him).

Seriously, we do get on very well.

As you know, we are trying to get four rinks of pairs going on Tuesday evenings in the winter. As far as I know three captains have come forward so far. We need more. Please get in touch with Steve Bluck if you feel you could enter a team.

At the same time, there are three rinks of fours going on. Carole Smith is looking for one more player for her team. Please contact her if you are available.

It is time to renew your membership. Your packs are ready at the club to be collected. The club is open every weekday morning and Friday evening. Please call in to pick up your pack to save the costly business of posting.

The fees are due on 1st September and you have until the last day of September to pay. Despite the rising costs of practically everything, our fees remain the same.

As usual, take care,

Linda

I am Junior Coordinator for Bristol Indoor bowls club..I believe you have a junior section and would like to invite you to come to Bristol on a Saturday when the winter season starts to play against our juniors with a view to a return match later in the season at your club…would this be feasible please?.
