Hello everyone and welcome back to a much more normal Midglos! Our aim is for everyone to feel comfortable. Please respect the feelings of those who are still a little nervous. Nobody should feel pressured into doing something with which they are not entirely happy.
I think most of you will now know that Roger Preece died on 6th July. He was a lovely man, always very cheerful and friendly and a very good bowler. Our thoughts go to Gill and his family. Mark has given the details of his funeral should you wish to attend.
Please be informed that should anyone wish to attend … Dad’s funeral will take place at Lydbrook Church of the Holy Jesus (GL17 9SH) next Tuesday 27th July at 12.00
Dad loved his time at Mid Glos, meeting some lovely people and great friends.
A tribute page can be read by clicking the link https://rogerpreece.muchloved.com/ then added to if anyone wishes by clicking contribute
Many thanks
Mark
On a happier note, our three youngest members, Emily, Erin and Hattie Burke have been performing well outdoors. Their proud Dad supplied the following information.
Emily, Erin and Hattie played for the first Gloucestershire Amy Rose Team in eleven years, their opposition was a very experienced Northamptonshire team, although our girls came second today there were some brilliant bowls played and the Gloucestershire Amy Rose Team is a team for the future.
Well done girls. We look forward to seeing you back at Midglos for the winter season. Why not introduce your team mates to indoor bowling?!
All that’s left to say is: enjoy our return to freedom and try to stay cool.
Many thanks.
Take care,
Linda.
