Newsletter Issue 272

Hello,

The last newsletter of 2025! It doesn’t seem like two minutes since it was the first letter of ‘25, and here we are at the end!

First of all, a plea to the ladies – Teresa Ames lost her fleece on Sunday, 21st December, during the fun bowls. She was left with one which isn’t hers. Teresa’s fleece is a size small with her name on the label inside in very small writing. If you were at the event wearing a fleece, please could you check that you have the correct one? If the one you have isn’t yours, could you return it to reception to swap with Teresa? Many thanks.

On Friday, 2nd January 2026, it is the third round of the Mason Trophy against Malvern at 10.00 a.m. while on Saturday, 3rd January at 2.00 p.m. there is a friendly at 2.00 p.m. again against Malvern.

In the morning on 3rd January, the fourth round (the area quarter final) of the Denny Cup will be played on a neutral green at Daventry against Huntingdon at 11.30. We wish our men all the very best!

On Wednesday, 7th January at 12.30 – 13.30 it is the first session of yoga in the Cooper Suite. Come along and give it a try. Yoga is so good for well-being.

The next session of bingo is on Sunday, 11th January, 3.00 p.m. – 5.00 p.m.

Finally, tickets are now on sale for Burns Night on Sunday, 25th January, when there’ll be fun bowls, a little quiz and a two-course meal.

A Happy and healthy New Year to everyone.

Take care,

Linda.
