Newsletter Issue 193

Hello again,

Just a quick newsletter this week before we head off to the New Forest for a few days although it looks as if we’ve chosen the wrong week! Should have gone last week since I’m not keen on rain, wind and cooler temperatures! Hey ho, it is what it is and we’ll have to make the most of it.

There’s not much new to add this week other than to refer you to last week’s letter and the various requests for help. I don’t know if there has been any response but, could you have another look and see if you could offer your services?

I believe that the work on the roof has been completed as has the electrical work.

There has been a great response to the Torquay trip in April and, the last time I looked, names were filling up nicely on the proposed indoor v outdoor match at Suffolk Square on 12th August. I know it clashes with the start of the grouse shooting season but I’m not sure we have any avid participants in this sport.

It is our monthly quiz this coming Saturday, 18th May when your quizmasters will be Harold Grouse and Fred Croxton. These evenings are always very popular and, going by the number of teams submitted, this week’s will be no exception.

Have a good week everyone and take care,

Linda
