Newsletter Issue 150

Hello everyone,

Another week, another newsletter!

I can’t believe we’re half way through the year already!

There’s not a great deal to mention this week except that we forgot to put on the notice about the Cotswold Perfumery talk on Tuesday 4th July that we do need you to sign up if you intend coming. We need to know numbers so that we provide sufficient cake. You don’t need to make a special trip in – just call reception and we will add your name(s). It is open to both members and non-members so feel free to bring along your friends. There are more talks in the pipeline if this one is a success.

A couple of jobs in and around the club are taking place this week. The security cameras are being upgraded (a job which is long overdue) and the far end of the overflow car park is having three concrete posts erected with chain link fencing between. From time to time there have been vehicles parked there. To access the overflow car park, they have had to mount the curb which should have been a deterrent in itself.

One more point about the afternoon of 4th July – all seven rinks will be available to book from 1.00 to 4.00p.m. If you fancy a roll-up, book a rink or take a risk and just turn up. If you are an outdoor bowler and you’re not bowling, come along and have a nice cool roll-up in the air-conditioned building. You may even be able to purchase a lovely piece of homemade cake!

In the meantime, enjoy the wonderful weather but make sure you’re sunscreen protected – the sun is pretty fierce at the moment.

Take care,

Linda
