Hello everyone,
I usually write the newsletter on Sunday evening so that it will be ready for Monday morning. However, when I got back home after two three hour games, I was just too tired.
First of all, Joan Surman’s funeral has been organised for 11.30a.m. at St. Christopher’s Church, Warden Hill on 24th April and afterwards at Cheltenham Bowling Club.
The first of the finals days was very busy and quite well supported by spectators. Thank you.

On Wednesday evening at 6.30 p.m. Gill Fry & Lee Williamson are playing each other for Club Champion
The last of the finals are being played at 10.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. on Saturday, 8th April.
At the same time as the finals were being played on Sunday, up in Nottingham, Josh Hodges was competing in the under 18 singles. He won his first game and played well in the others but didn’t get through. However, he is 15 so playing well below the age group. He has plenty of time to try again. Well done Josh.
Our under 18s are all doing extremely well. For each of them, it is their first year indoors. We all need to watch out!
Don’t forget to follow us on “Facebook” – Fin is our young man responsible for updating the site. There is a notice up in reception advertising our presence on “Facebook”. Take a look.
As mentioned last week, it is the AGM at 7.00p.m. on Wednesday 12th April. Please try to come along but, if you are unable to do so for any reason, you can vote online.
Sadly we say goodbye to our outdoor bowlers at the end of this week but we wish you a good season in the wind and rain, thermals and waterproofs and look forward to seeing you back in the warm and dry in September.
Next week’s newsletter will also be later than usual since we have our family staying over Easter. Don’t eat too many Easter eggs but enjoy the festivities and take care, as usual.
Linda

Apologies, Josh. I was told that you were fifteen. Such a performance at just fourteen is even more impressive. Well done!
